D-HAT™ 1000 How It Works
The D-HAT™ 1000 generates the correct amount of hydrogen, on-demand, to join the air/fuel mixture as it enters the cylinder for combustion. The addition of hydrogen allows for a more complete fuel burn, almost eliminating harmful emissions, and improving fuel efficiency.
The D-HAT™ 1000’s patented PEM cell produces hydrogen through electrolysis from just steam distilled water and power from the engine’s alternator. Because this process happens on-demand, there is no on-board storage of hydrogen, and the D-HAT™ 1000 is completely safe.

Diesel engines produce an estimated 35% of all greenhouse gases. Of that 35%, the largest global contributors are diesel semi tractors.
